The Department of primary education in Assam has issued the notification for the Assam TET examination 2023. The application procedure opened on 5th March 2023. The TET examination was conducted on April 30, 2023.

Eligibility criteria for the Assam TET examination
The eligibility conditions for the TET examination in Assam would include
- Age limit – Minimum 18 years and a maximum of 38 years
- Educational Qualification – Candidates must have passed a graduate degree from a recognized university.
They should also have a degree in B.Ed or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) with a minimum of 50% marks.
- Number of attempts – no limit until you cross the upper age limit
- Experience – No experience needed

In addition to the eligibility criteria, those looking to apply for the Assam TET should have the following points to be taken care of.
- There are no negative marks for the wrong answer
- The candidates should have good health and be medically fit
- They should have good moral character and must not be linked with any criminal case.
- Candidates should check for the authenticity of the details in the application form. Any intentional information shared can initiate criminal proceedings.
The qualifying marks for the Assam TET examination
To be eligible for the posts, you should satisfy the following qualifying marks
- Unreserved – 78%
- Scheduled casts – 63%
- Scheduled tribes – 54%
Assam TET Examination Pattern 2023
You will have to answer two papers viz paper 1 and Paper 2. If you are looking to apply for the teacher’s post for calls 1 to 5, you need to answer paper 1 only. However, to qualify as a teacher for teaching classes 6 to 8, you need to appear for and clear both paper 1 and paper 2.
Both paper 1 and paper 2 will have 150 marks each and will have to be answered in 150 minutes. There is no negative marking for any wrong answer.
