OTET Exam Pattern 2023
The OTET examination is conducted as per the following pattern –
- Mode of the examination – offline
- Total marks – 150 each in paper 1 and paper 2
- Duration – Two hours and 30 minutes
OTET Eligibility: Paper-I (Primary Level Teachers for Classes I-V)
You need to satisfy the following eligibility conditions to be eligible to apply for the examination –
- Higher secondary examination with 50% marks, along with the two-year elementary education diploma
- Higher Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year bachelor of elementary education
- Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OTET Eligibility: Paper-II (Secondary Level Teachers for Classes VI-VIII)
This will need the following eligibility criteria
- Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./ B.Sc, Ed or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
- Graduation with a grade point average of at least 45 percent and a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program
- Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

OTET Salary 2023
The teachers are paid as per the 7th pay commission. Based on our calculations, we found the following salary to be practical in most of situations –
