PSTET Eligibility Criteria 2023
The educational qualification and age limit for the PTET examinations would be on the following lines.
Age limit – You should be above 18 years of age to apply for the Punjab TET examinations. The upper age limit is 38 years. There would be relaxation for the reserved categories as per the prevailing rules at the time
Educational qualifications –
For Paper 1 – Class 12 passed with at least 50 percent marks along with a Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd)/ Diploma in Education (Special Education)/ Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIEd)
For paper 2 – BA/ BSc pass with DElEd/ BEd/ BEIEd/ BA/BSc-Ed

The PTET examination pattern
Paper 1 consists of the subjects Child Development & Pedagogy, which is compulsory, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. The Paper 2 consists of Child Development & Pedagogy, Language 1 and Language 2, and option on subject papers for the teachers willing to teach a specific paper.
Total number of questions – 150 each on each paper
Total marks – 150 marks

What are the cutoff marks for the Punjab TET examinations?
The cut-off would be 60% for the candidates from the unreserved category and 55% for the case of reserved category candidates.
Is PSTET 2023 a national-level online examination?
No, PTET is a state-level examination. You should be a resident of Punjab state to be eligible for appearing for the Punjab TET examination.
How many times is the PSTET exam conducted in a year?
The PTET examination is conducted once every year. However, the frequency can be decided by the government in certain cases.
