Teacher Eligibility Test or TET is a test conducted for the teaching eligibility for appointment of teachers to different educational institutions. The CTET is the national-level Teaching eligibility examination, while different states across the Indian Union conduct their own tests for the teacher’s eligibility.
When is CTET being held?
The CTET examination will be held in July 2023, and the notification has been released. The last date for submitting the applications is on 26th May 2023, and online corrections, if any, can be made by 29th May 2023. Examinations will be held between July and August 2023. The exact dates will be notified later. The results will be declared by September 2023.
Maharashtra TET 2023 details
Maharashtra TET 2023 is scheduled to be held in October 2023. The Maharashtra State Council of Examination has released the notification for conducting the Teacher eligibility test as per the following schedule.
Online applications will begin in the first week of August 2023. The last date for submission of applications will be in the last week of September 2023. The admit cards will be available from 2nd October 2023. The Maharashtra TET examination will be held on 31st October 2023.
HP TET Application 2023
The Himachal Pradesh government has announced tentative dates for the conduct of the TET in 2023. Please note that the dates are tentative and may be changed.
The application forms will be started on September 23, 2023. Applications will be submitted till October 13, 2013, without late fees and till October 18, with the payment of late fees. The correction window will remain open between October 19 and October 21, 2023. The admit cards will be given four days before the examination, and the TET 2023 will be held on November 13, 14, 21, and 28, 2023.
Mizoram TET Updates
MBSE has released the official notification and application form for Mizoram TET 2023. Candidates can submit their applications by September 30, 2023.
The schedule would be as follows –
Starting date for the application forms will begin on 15th Sept 2023. The last date to submit application forms will be 30th September 2023. You may submit the applications with the late payment fee till 5th October 2023. The examination will be held in 3rd week of October 2023
Kerala defers the TET examinations to May 30 and 31
The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has postponed the Teacher’s eligibility test 2023, which was supposed to be May 2023. The latest information on the official site shows that the exams will now be held on May 30 and 31, 2023. The examination was supposed to be held on 12th and 15th May, 2023. The exam will be held in two shifts – Shift 1 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and Shift 2 from 2:00 PM.
Madhya Pradesh TET 2023 updates
Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB ) announced the MP TET admit card 2023 on April 26, 2023. Candidates who want to appear for the examination can visit esb.mp.gov.in to download their hall tickets. The examination will be conducted between May 02 to May 19, 2023. Session 1 will be held between 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, while Session 2 will be held from 2:00 PM.
KARTET 2023 details have been announced
Below is the tentative schedule for the Karnataka TET examinations in 2023
The notification for the same has been around the corner. The notification will arrive by the first week of September 2023. Online applications will begin in the 1st week of September 2023. The last date for the submission of the applications will be around 30th Sept 2023. Admit cards will be issued a week before the examination. The TET examinations are being held in November, the exact date for which will be announced soon.
Gujarat TET results will be out soon.
The teacher’s eligibility test conducted by the Gujarat State Examination Board in April 2023 is still awaiting the results. The results will be declared on the official site www.sebexam.org. The results will be out in the 3rd week of May 2023.
Teachers’ Eligibility Test for upper primary schools held after 5 years
The Teacher Eligibility Test, or TET-2, was conducted after a gap of five years in Gujarat. The examination was conducted in eight cities on April 23, 2023. 2,37,760 candidates – of a total of 2,76,066 applicants appeared for the examination. It was in 2018 that the TET 2 was conducted in the state. It had over two lakh candidates appearing for the test. The examination was conducted in three languages- Gujarati, Hindi and English – across 926 examination centres.
What are the Qualifying Marks for TET Exam?
If you want to qualify for the TET or CTET, you must satisfy a few eligibility conditions. The Ministry of Human Resource Development generally stipulates these norms. The total marks at the STET or CTET would be 150, of which you need to get at least 90 marks if you belong to the general category. The passing marks would be 82 for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories.
Assam TET was cancelled for the next two years.
The Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has stated that the TET examinations in Assam have been cancelled for the period of the next two years. This decision was taken on account of there being a huge number of candidates who have cleared the examination, and there are no vacancies that match these numbers. Gujarat also conducted the TET examinations in the state after a gap of 5 years.
Eligibility criteria for the TET examinations 2023
You need to satisfy a few requirements to be able to appear for the TET examinations. The eligibility criteria comprise the educational qualification and age limit. The eligibility criteria differ from state to state.
General eligibility criteria would be
- Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- You should have cleared a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
